Since Sunday evening, the people of Iran were running to mosque to pray for the lives of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollhian. But, their prayers got answered since, both of them died in helicopter accident near Azerbaijan border. After the death of president an uncertainty among people of Iran arose, but the supreme leader of Iran assures that there will be no disruptions in functioning of the government, the vice president of Iran will take over the post till the election is commenced.
Speculations around his death
After, his death there are many speculations circulating around world media, in which it is said that may be the death is not a mere accident but a conspiracy by US and Israel, because since, last few years US is not sharing cordial relationship with Iran over nuclear deal on the other hand, last month, Israel and Iran also got involved into missile attack on each other. Till, now we don not know about any conspiracy.

In this grief situation, India had extended its solidarity with Iran and Prime Minister, “Deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic demise of Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. His contribution to strengthening India-Iran bilateral relationship will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and the people of Iran,” Modi tweeted on X.
