India voted in favour of UN resolution on Gaza Ceasefire

On Tuesday, India cast its vote in favor of a draft resolution presented in the United Nations General Assembly. The resolution called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as the unconditional release of all hostages.

The sponsors of the resolution included several countries such as Algeria, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Palestine, among others. Notably, ten countries, including the United States and Israel, opposed the resolution, while 23 countries chose to abstain from voting.
