Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate first Hindu Temple in United Arab Emirates.
BAPS embodies a socio-spiritual Hindu belief system deeply rooted in the Vedas, initiated by Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the late 18th century and officially organized in 1907 by Shastriji Maharaj.
The proposition for the Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi was put forth during Prime Minister Modi’s initial visit to the UAE in 2015, following which the government designated land for the BAPS temple. Prime Minister Modi hailed this as a “historic” development and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the UAE on behalf of 1.3 billion Indians.
