Yesterday, JNU campus has witnessed its much-awaited presidential debate, where speakers across the organisation spoke about pertinent issues of campus, India and world. Pushp Raj Yadav, who is a General Secretary of NSUI wing of JNU, told us that he has witnessed 5-6 elections of JNU, but this election was very different from earlier one, because after long struggle with campus administration, finally they are able to participate in electoral process of the campus. Pushp, further told that the campus election is not just limited to campus issues, it highlights the struggle of Bhaujans students who are coming from all over the country. It gives voice to marginalised women as they speak fearlessly about gender issues. Student Politics is mandatory in campus because it paves the way for involvement of youths in Indian politics.
