First Session of 18th Lok Sabha

The First session of 18th Lok Sabha will commence on today, 24th June. Today, President Draupadi Murmu will be present in the parliament in order to administer the oath of the members.

In the first session, 7-time MP Bhartruhari Mahtab as the Lok Sabha pro-tem Speaker. Though, this issue was raised by opposition that why we have pro-tem speaker.

In the first session, it is likely to have discussion on UGC NET Exam cancellation, NEET Scam also postponement of NEET PG.

This time, the parliament will witness many first time MPs, among them Chandrashekhar Azad, Sanjana Jatav, Rajkumar Roat, Sambhavi Chaudhury, Iqra Hasan, Kangana Ranaut. It would be interesting to listen their maiden speeches.

This Lok Sabha election the current ruling political party BJP has got 240 seats lacked 32 seats to mark full majority. They had formed government with the support of majorly TDP and JDU.
