Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi made a shocking announcement after coming from jail that he will resign from the CM post within 48 hours. As he believes he will return to the post after winning support of the people. This statement of Kejriwal made political stir and people had started speculating who will be next cm of Delhi.

Kejriwal had asked from Election Commission of India that Election should be preponed in November 2024 from February 2025. As states like Maharashtra and Jharkhand are witnessing its assembly election in November.

Both BJP and Congress called this step as ‘PR Stunt’. Many are calling that if elections are held in November along with Maharashtra and Jharkhand it will benefit Kejriwal as these elections are likely to happen anti-establishment.

Now, it is sole authority of Election Commission of India (ECI) that they will prepone Delhi assembly elections or not, in many instances we have seen that Election Commission has preponed the poll but generally ECI tries to follow the time frame.
