Uttar Pradesh former Chief Minister Mayawati demands Bharat Ratna for Dalit icon Kanshi Ram. When government of India, decided to confer Bharat Ratna to Karpoori Thakur then Mayawati posted on X and said “We welcome the decision of Government of India to confer Bharat Ratna to eminent personalities but in this scenario it is not suitable to neglect and disrespect the Dalit icons. Government should also look into this matter.”
