Legal action has been taken, with a case filed under sections 147 (rioting), 341 (wrongful restraint), 294 B (obscene acts or words), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354 B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), and relevant sections of the Women Harassment Act.
